About us
Freeter Studio is inspired by Japanese work culture — where the salaryman stands for structure and uniformity, while the freeter embraces creativity, independence, and a life outside the system.
Born from this contrast, and sparked by the “Shibuya Meltdown” — viral images of overworked employees asleep in train stations — we set out to revive the freeter spirit for a new generation.
Our clothing reimagines Japanese workwear through a modern lens: relaxed, functional, and made for people who value movement, expression, and freedom in how they live.
